How to Add BUSD in MetaMask?

BUSD is a stablecoin based on the ERC-20 standard of Ethereum smart contracts and compatible with the BEP-2 standard on the Binance smart chain. It is pegged to the price of the US dollar with physical reserves of the American dollar to back its value.

As BUSD is based on an Ethereum standard, you can use it with most of the Ethereum applications like MetaMask. Let me show you a quick way to add BUSD in MetaMask.

    Install MetaMask:


    Download and install the MetaMask desktop browser extension and set up your account. Take help from this article if needed.

    Add BSC Network in metamask:


    Connect the Binance Smart Chain network to your MetaMask wallet. Quickly go to networks-add network-Add BNB smart chain-Approve-Switch to BNB. Or, you can follow this guide.

    On the MetaMask homepage, scroll down to the bottom to find the assets section. In that, click on the “import tokens” option.

    Copy the address below and paste it into the “Token Contract Address” input. It should automatically fill in other details. In case it doesn’t, add Token Symbol: BUSD, Token decimal:18.

    After filling these details, click on the “Add custom token” button.

    Click on the “Import tokens” option in the next confirmation window and you’re done.

    Access the BUSD token:


    On the MetaMask homepage, scroll down to find the BUSD option. Click on that and start using BUSD.
