How to Import an Account in MetaMask with a Private Key?
You can easily move your accounts from one browser to another or one device to another, or even one application to another if you have the private key with you. Let’s understand the procedure that you need to follow to import an account in MetaMask.
Prerequisites:
Before we start importing your account in MetaMask, as mentioned earlier, you need to have your private key with you. Where you can find the private key depends on the wallet you use to store your accounts and tokens. The types of these storage facilities and the settings that lead you to the private key.

Click on the three vertical dots near your account name/public address.
Click on “Account Details”
Click “Export private key”
Enter the password that you use to log into MetaMask and click confirm
Your private key will be shown to you after that. Copy it from here and move it to the machine where you want to import this account.
Importing an account on MetaMask with the private key
Open MetaMask where you want to import the account
Click on the profile button on the top-right corner of the screen
Click on the “Import account” from the available options
Select “Private key” from the first drop-down menu and paste the private key of the account you want to import and click on the “Import” button.
Done. Your account will now be visible in the accounts section of MetaMask. You can now start transacting with this account. Just remember that this account is not linked with the seed phrase of your main account. So, you need to import it again if you remove the account or delete the browser/extension from the browser.
